TOPS Account Rep Changes

TOPS is a vibrant and changing company, seeking to become better in every way. This perpetual goal requires reorganization at times. Beginning this month, TOPS Account Representatives who assist current and potential clients will be taking on new roles and assignments within their department. This means that your account rep may be changing. Rest assured, they are all dedicated to serving you well!


Important Notice for Chrome and Firefox Users

If you use Chrome or Firefox for TOPS Training classes or connecting with Support, this notice affects you. Google and Mozilla will soon be releasing updates to their browsers which will disable the WebEx Meeting plug-in TOPS uses. When this update happens, you will need to manually enable a plug-in within your browser to successfully join Training or Support sessions. The WebEx meeting will not successfully launch (users will stay on the “Join Meeting” page) until the plug-in has been enabled. Instructions for enabling the plugins can be found here.

Q4 Update

Q4 Program Updates

The Q4 release is in the works and will include a new Launcher and optimizations for TOPS Go!. The new TOPS Launcher will eliminate the need for the TOPS Internet Updater and prevent issues with out of date systems on the local network, by auto-updating workstations on launch. Administrators will be able to activate or delay an update for their entire organization.

In November we released a handful of program fixes to TOPS Professional that you won't want to miss—details are posted on the Customer Care Blog.

Support ID

"SUPPORT ID" a new ID for Clients on a Support Plan

A reminder: All clients on a Support Plan have been assigned a unique "Support ID". This ID should be used when communicating with our Technical Support department. Find your ID at the top of this e-mail, or contact your Account Representative.


TOPS Go! Billing Changes

In Early 2014, the pricing structure for TOPS Go! will be changing from the current structure (one license per device) to a structure based on number of communities. We hope that this new model will make it easier for your organization to implement TOPS Go! for all of your users, and add more flexibility for you to charge back to your clients. If you have any questions, please contact your Account Representative.

Module Retirement

Module Retirement

In order to focus more on our core products, we will be retiring some of our less used add-on modules. We will also be changing some of our modules around to make them more flexible for modern day management business models. The two modules scheduled to reach the end of their lifecycle this year (12/31/2013) are TOPS MaintCo and Utility Billing. These modules will continue to work as is for existing customers who own the modules, but no further development or support will be provided.
