One of my guilty pleasures? Fail lists. They are incredibly entertaining in the worst of ways. And luckily for us, Community Associations are not immune to this trend. Here is a Top 5 list of the craziest financial situations one CPA has seen, as well as some simple tips to keep these from happening to your board or community.

There is literally nothing more annoying. Being jolted out of a dead slumber by the deafening ‘tweet’ of your smoke detector battery, graciously letting you know that it is about to bite the dust. The very last thing that you want to do after being awoken from your peaceful passout is get anywhere close to that angry machine to disarm it. Enter the new Internet connected battery. It’s amazing.
