Away for the Holiday

Many community members leave their homes to celebrate the holidays. Spectrum Management has some great tips on how homeowners can safeguard their homes while they are away. I loved the idea of asking a neighbor to park in your driveway. Clever!

Night Time Not the Right Time

Should your boards ditch the night time meeting? "Evening meetings, quite frankly, tend to be grueling and unproductive. Many times there is a lack of focus, a tendency to ignore professional design advice, and an increase in the number of disagreements among board members. Fatigue, surely, is a factor. "

They're All Good Boys and Girls

The end of the year is the time when you do you annual performance reviews. "Too often managers save up negative information and unload it all at once during the annual review season.  Others “whitewash” performance and act like everything is okay when it really isn’t. That isn’t providing leadership." Learn how to do performance reviews the right way here.
