As much as I would love to deny it, I can’t help but enjoy hearing about a juicy scandal. Unfortunately, I think this is true for most people. That is why, for your guilty pleasure, we here at TOPS bring you, “In the Media: Scandals affecting community associations in 2013.” Enjoy!

How many zeros was that?

Hey, California associations! Are you in compliance with the heat illness law? You may want to take a look over the California Labor Code section 226.7 just to be safe. Give those men and women a much-needed break and avoid having to pay the penalty!
Update Your CV
We know you are happy in your current job, but when was the last time you updated your resume? In a 9 month period, they collected around $240,000 in rent and deposits. Wow!
Sinkholes (aka hellholes)
Well, after watching a couple of these videos, I may have a couple sleepless nights in my future. There is nothing scarier than the thought of the earth swallowing you and your house, whole! Check out some of these sinkholes (Dunedin, Tampa, and Louisiana) that had a mighty appetite! Two of them were literally just down the street from our Clearwater office here at TOPS! (Yikes)
(Watch the first 40 seconds, your hair will stand on end!)
