This week in Community Association Management:
I've been in a pickle. A PARADOXICAL PREDICAMENT, if you will. My favorite new song from DBPR, SECONDS ON MINUTES is competing on the TOP TEN against the latest hit from SMASHING PUMPKINS - HATERS GONNA HATE. What to choose? The cheerleaders in my head are screaming 'WE HAVE SPIRIT, YES WE DO!' but If I don't get some work done, I'll get FIRED, so I'll think about that later - on WHITEBOARD WEDNESDAY.
As an educated member of the Community Association Management industry, you already know how crucial it is to stay informed and up-to-date on the latest news, trends and happenings within the industry. Each week, we bring together our favorite reads of the week and share them with you! Enjoy the CAM Mash Up and feel free to share it too!

Haters Gonna Hate
No matter how great of a human being you may be, there are always going to be haters! Well, the same goes for HOA’s. But, despite the bad rap they seem to get, here is a list of ways HOA’s make their communities an awesome place to live!

Importing waste? Why would any country do such a thing? Sweden has put such a focus on sustainable living that they have literally run out of waste to burn for electricity! So, what is their solution? Simply to import waste from neighboring countries! I think we could all learn a thing or two from these activists!
Hey Mac lovers! Frustrated by trying to use Windows based software on your operating system? Ashley Capps over at Trapp Online has the perfect solution for you in this week’s edition of White Board Wednesday!
Julie Adamen, explores a touchy subject this month on her HOA Manager Newsline - Re-humanizing termination. It's a good read, and a cautionary tale to how things can go terribly, terribly wrong. (You're no Donald Trump, honey!)
Dead Bros Professing Respect? Deal Breaker's Parole Resource? Not if you live in Florida, where the Department of Business and Professional Regulation is requiring every homeowner association to be registered under a licensed manager. TOPS customer Towers Property Management has built a handy guide to walk you through this (relatively simple) process.

Seconds on Minutes
Here's one to share! Are you aware of what should be included in your HOA board meeting minutes? Is it necessary to include everything listed in the agenda? To clarify, Jim Slaughter, an attorney with Rossabi Black Slaughter, P.A. explains exactly what should be included!
