Isn't technology fun? You've got your Angry Birds and Candy Crush and of course Facebook and you might even check your email, but are you really using your phone or tablet to it's fullest potential for your business? The sheer volume of apps available makes it hard to know what to choose, but we're here to help! Here are six productivity apps that you can start using right away to make your mobile device work for you!
 

  1. Square
    OK, technically it's more than just an app, but Square's spot on this list is well justified. While you cannot use it for dues payments, there are a ton of other miscellaneous charges that your management company has to process on a daily basis. Square is an easy, fast, mobile solution that lets you process credit card transactions from the office to the board meeting and anywhere in between.
  2. Evernote
    I cannot recommend Evernote enough. It's a simple cloud-based note program that you can install on your PC at work, your Mac at home, your phone and your tablet, even add it as a plugin to your browser, and always have access to your notes wherever you are. It sounds so simple, but it is immensely useful. I personally use it for just about everything, from my to do list to meeting notes to minutes, articles I want to remember to read later, the works. And another cool feature? It has a voice recognition feature so you can record emails you want to send or dictate notes on the run!  Oh, and did I mention it's free?
  3. Dropbox
    Whenever I needed to take work home, I used to email myself the files I wanted to work on for my 'homework', but no more! With Dropbox, I am able to easily share files between work and home and even on my mobile devices. It's also easy to set up a shared folder with your colleagues so you can all have access to the latest version of important files. And, the best part? It's free!
  4. CloudOn
    If you've taken the time to set up Dropbox or a similar service like Google Drive, CloudOn is your must have mobile companion! You simply connect to your account and you can open and edit documents, spreadsheets and presentations. You can even use it to connect your phone or tablet to a projector and project your management presentations right from your tablet or phone! (who needs a laptop any more?!)
  5. Docusign
    Community Association Management is chock-full of contracts that need to be signed. Whether it's a new management agreement with a community association, or a vendor contract, setting up an electronic signature function is convenient, and fits right into your paperless office strategy! Docusign is used by thousands of companies as a secure method of storing legally binding digital signatures, and it's very reasonably priced.
  6. TOPS Go!
